When supporting people living with long term health conditions (LTCs) to be active, understanding their needs, behaviours and barriers to activity is essential for achieving meaningful and sustainable impact. To support this, We Are Undefeatable has made six years of campaign tracking data publicly available through a new interactive lived experience dashboard.

The new dashboard brings together aggregated insights from the principal wave of the We Are Undefeatable campaign tracker each year (starting from 2019), offering a comprehensive view of attitudes, influences and behaviours related to physical activity, health and wellbeing among people living with LTCs. Designed to support a wide range of organisations and workstreams, the dashboard enables more informed, targeted and collaborative approaches to helping people with long term conditions get and stay active.

The lived experience dashboard allows organisations to tailor insights to their specific use case through a powerful set of interactive features. By exploring data by location, health condition, age, gender and other characteristics, users can understand how attitudes, motivations, barriers and influences around physical activity differ across sub‑audiences. This makes it easier to focus on the groups most relevant to organisations’ priorities and design more targeted approaches.

How organisations can benefit from the dashboard:

  • Demonstrate thought leadership: ground strategies, communications and partnerships in robust evidence that reflects the lived experiences of people with LTCs.

  • Align partners and stakeholders: use a common, trusted evidence base to bring local partners together around clear insights into audience needs and barriers, supporting more joined-up action.

  • Focus effort where it matters most: make it easier to identify priority audiences, behaviours or barriers to ensure resources are directed where they can have the greatest impact.

  • Establish baselines for change: providing a clear baseline against which future change can be assessed.

  • Save time and money: reduce the need to commission bespoke research by leveraging six years of high-quality, aggregated tracking data that is ready to use.
